Watercolor - Chipmunks and Violets Kids T-Shirt

Original watercolor painting, 'Chipmunks and Violets', by Lynn Cyrus/ Cascade Colors. This painting was inspired by two separate photographs I took of chipmunks in the Colorado Rocky Mountains, and I realized the two poses combined to make a perfect pair of chipmunks looking at each other, perhaps communicating. I wanted to evoke a more springlike atmosphere, so included some delicate purple violets. I chose a more minimalist style, laying down minimal layers of paint and keeping the brush strokes very simple, leaving unpainted white paper in much of the painting. This is also a more playful, whimsical piece, which could go well in a Children's room. The original is 7.5 x 10.5 inches, painted on 140 pound Arches cold press fine art watercolor paper.
